![]() I think this is the reality, take some time to learn the functions available, YouTube is a haven for information. ![]() Theres nothing wrong with Logic, he just didn''t know what was available to him. He started producing in Reason and moved to Logic about 6 years ago, unfortunately he eventually lost his thirst for music because he simply couldn't get results and good sound fast enough in Logic. My friend who introduced me to Reason, after I failed to get along with Fl studio & Ableton says the same thing about Logic. Pahaha I love thread like these, you get them in every DAW's forums. The only reason I stick with Reason is that I'm accustomed to the workflow and rather enjoy that aspect, but I need more modern sounds with some wow factor. None of the drums are very punchy for example and all the other sounds are flimsy. The FSB and Reason 9 sounds all seem really dated and "weak" sounding compared to other DAWs and VST plugins out there. SO up REASON as a feature Rich/workflow/smart DAW.Even if that means taking a couple of years to Re-code REASON from the ground up! My money will be waiting!įrankJaeger wrote:Anyone else feel like reason is hard to get good sounds from. Having kontak or SERUM in REASON would be great for REASON users I completely understand.but if I wanted to get Kontak or Serum.then I would get them and still have access to these workflow/features sets that my now main DAW provides. These features are part of my workflow now. REASON has bounce in place now right ?.cool!.I can bounce in place both MIDI and a WAV render into the same single file, then extract the MIDI from the single WAV render at anytime.the list goes on. I love being able to sample wave loops "in sync" straight from the browser.ĭuring a session, I can drag and drop from the sequencer a MIDI groove/clip right into the browser to archive (try that in REASON). Scrolling through 20 plus tracks because I can't hide a Chanel. After 5 months using another DAW (I know that there are things that REASON does best). I wouldn't care if The Cream of the crop VST plugins where available for REASON. thinking about VST's in REASON, is like putting the cart before the horse. In a modern software DAW, REASON seq should offer more, way more, Like being able to analyse 2 midi clip at the same time in view at the same time. The sequencer is a Fossil.sure it works.but so do turntables (TRY PLAYING A RECORD IN YOUR CAR WHILE DRIVING) we all recognize that it's old tech. ![]() It would make no sense to me for Propellerheads to be thinking about VST's when you can't even collapse or hide Chanel strips in the mixer. NO it may not be a do or die feature, but you can start from there and work your way up. REASON still can't sync audio files from it's browser from the main sequencer. I didn't stop using REASON as my main DAW because of lack of VST's.I left Reason because I found that on balance another DAW was smarter more modern featured, Reason feature/workflow wise is very dated.Įverybody on this threads knows what I'm referring to and has there own list.I'll simply note a few. ![]() ![]() If Propellerhead's back was against the wall, i.e (sales wise or in fading popularity ).then you would be surprised on how quickly the inconceivable would become conceivable (I'm saying this as an example, not saying that there back is against the wall) Pjeudy wrote:first of all, I'm old enough to have learned to never say never!
